2026 NATIONAL JAMBOREE
The Pine Burr Area Council is planning to send a contingent troop to the 2026 National Jamboree at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia. We do understand that is still two years away but we wanted to offer the chance for families to begin making their payments now.
Cost:
We estimate the total cost of the event to be around $2400 but recognize that that could change! In the event that the total cost is cheaper, we will process refunds for anyone that may already be paid in full. At this time, please fill out the form below for each person you are paying for. You need only fill out the form ONCE per person to make your first payment. & then any payments after that you may click HERE to go directly to the payment page. The jamboree fee as mentioned above will cover all transportation, tours, admission fees, meals, lodging, and patrol and troop equipment. There may be personal expenses to consider such as uniforms, equipment, and spending money. & there are typically a few extra non-required events at Jamboree such as White Water Rafting that will cost an additional fee. All of that sort of information will be put out as soon as it is made available to us.

What is the National Jamboree?
The National Jamboree is a gathering, or jamboree, of thousands of Scouting members, usually held every four years and organized by the National Council of the BSA. Referred to as “the Jamboree”, “Jambo”, or NSJ, Scouts from all over the nation and world have the opportunity to attend. It’s the most awesome event a Scout or Venturer could attend. It’s everything you can do in Scouting–and more–in one spot for you and about 25,000 of your friends from around the country and even around the world! It’s 10 days of adventure and excitement that you don’t want to miss out on!! Over the course of 10 days Scouts join together for this iconic outing. Because it normally takes place every four or more years, most Scouts will only have one opportunity to attend the National Jamboree as a youth member. Many Jambo alumni have said that their experience was one of the most memorable adventures during their years in Scouting!
What can you do?
Climbing, zip lines, mountain biking, whitewater rafting, BMX biking, world-class skate park, shooting ranges, kayaking, arena shows, aquatic challenges, state of the art tech stuff, rappelling, merit badge opportunities, STEM Quest and even some patch trading along the way.
Where is the Jamboree?
The Summit Bechtel Reserve is home to the National Scout Jamboree. Situated in the wilds of West Virginia, The Summit is a training, Scouting, and adventure center for the millions of youth and adults involved in the Boy Scouts of America and anyone who loves the outdoors. The Summit is a place that takes Scouts and Venturers to the limits of what they think they can do, and then pushes them further.
Who can attend?
Registered Scouts BSA youth members who are at least 12 years of age by the first day of the Jamboree but have not reached their 18th birthday by the last day of the Jamboree. & any registered Adult Scouter.
“It opened up my eyes to how much was out there in the world that I could learn about. My time at the Jamboree made it so easy to walk around and check out Scuba, or skeet shooting, or advanced first aid stuff for first time. It was also great to live in an entire city of people my age for a little while. I loved the whole experience!”
Again, please fill out the form below for each person you are paying for. You need only fill out the form ONCE per person to make your first payment. & then any payments after that you may click HERE to go directly to the payment page. When paying - please make sure to put the person you are paying for in the “Ship To” portion of the check out process so we know who you are meaning to pay for. Or send an email to Tabitha.Lester@scouting.org to clarify who your payment goes to.
Scouts could set a goal to sell 480 camp cards over a two year time span to completely earn their way to the National Jamboree!
