Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills and Position-Specific Training


Required for Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters

December 2-3, 2016

Whether new to the scouting program, or a leader who has not yet taken the necessary leadership training for the position of Scoutmaster, or Assistant Scoutmaster, this training will provide the tools you need to provide a quality program.  Every scout deserves a well-trained leader!


Cost is $15 per person (includes meals, snacks, training materials, TRAINED patch)

Fees are non-refundable

Deadline to register: November 29, 2016

We cannot accept walk-ins on the day of the event.

Friday, December 2 – 6:30 pm until 9:00 pm - SM and SA Position-Specific Training

Saturday, December 3 – 7:30 am until 9:00 pm - Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills

Check in will take place from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. Friday, December 2nd, 2016.

Please eat before arrival, or you may bring your meal with you.


What to bring:

  • Tent – Sleeping bag – Ground cloth
  • Personal hygiene items
  • First-aid kit
  • Sun protection
  • Compass
  • Extra clothing appropriate for weather
  • Notebook, pen or pencil
  • Water bottle
  • Eating utensils + Plate, Cup, Bowl
  • Pocketknife
  • Flashlight and/or lantern
  • Insect repellent
  • Backpack
  • Rain gear
  • Personal medications
  • Folding Chair
